As a Graphic Designer for over 10 years, my experience began on the yearbook staff in high school. From the first day of yearbook camp, I knew design was my passion. At Indiana University, my focus of study was Graphic Design, and I also gained many skills working on a team at the Indiana Daily Student. After graduation, my internship at Baldwin & Lyons, and experience at Auralex Acoustics, helped me to strengthen my skills in design, marketing, and team strategies. I also continue to work with freelance clients to grow professionally.
While designing is my career focus, I also have many other creative outlets. I always have a camera with me, and enjoy capturing memorable moments through photography. I believe it is important to open one's self up to new possibilities. My hobbies include playing violin, cake decorating and (highly recommended) intramural dodgeball. One of my most valued activities, however, is teaching color guard in the fall at North Central High School. This activity has kept me driven and motivated for the past 3 years. It is always inspiring to see how the students improve throughout the season, and it helps me to grow as a leader, by seeing how my instructional methods affect their performance.
My future goals are simple: I wish to keep up with constantly changing design and marketing methods. It is essential to me that my designs are contemporary and original while still keeping the customer's vision as my focus. I aspire to see the coasts of Italy, ride in a hot air balloon, and eat authentic German strudel; not necessarily all at once, but I like to set my goals high!
